The New York Times says that as Donald Trump's New York criminal trial "nears its end, prosecutors seem to have edge," though The Washington Post says the presiding judge still "faces major choices." The Times also has a front page look at a "time-honored political tactic" being employed by Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) in his federal criminal trial and Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito as he tries to explain an upside-down American flag that flew outside his house: "Throw your wife under the bus."
